Description

The Primelux PX2224 is a pair of 3.3-inch square LED flood work lights for equipment-side illumination and maintenance tasks. It combines 3,226.3 effective lumens per light with a defined 2-pin DT connection for planning an auxiliary lighting installation.

Key Features

  • Light Output: 3,226.3 effective lumens per light, or 6,452.6 lumens combined.
  • Flood Beam: 90° (H) × 27° (V) beam angle at 50% peak intensity.
  • 12V/24V Operation: 10–30V DC input; 31.09W power consumption per light.
  • Construction: IP68-rated die-cast aluminum housing with a UV-resistant polycarbonate lens.
  • Mounting: Two lights with adjustable 304 stainless steel brackets and mounting hardware.

Flood Lighting with Defined Connection Hardware

The 90° horizontal × 27° vertical beam angle provides a broad horizontal distribution for work areas near the equipment. The 2-pin DT connector gives installers a defined connection type to match to the wiring system, while adjustable brackets allow the lamp position to be set for the chosen mounting point.

The lamps use 2-pin DT connectors. Match the mating connector and circuit arrangement to the installation.

Applications

For agricultural equipment, the PX2224 can add light around implement access and machine-side checks. On service vehicles, the pair can support equipment handling and maintenance in areas where the vehicle's main lighting does not cover the task.

This package includes two work lights, mounting brackets and hardware.

These little 3 inch flood lights are very bright! Alot brighter then expected from a little 3 inch square. I got these for the front of my utility atv but they can serve a variety of purposes depending on your needs. I had them installed in about a half an hour.

Nice bright lights for lots of different applications.

Nice lights for various applications. I'm going to install them on my four wheeler, but I'm still trying to decide if I want to put them on a switch or have them on whenever the wheeler is running. I did test both lights and they powered on nice and bright. I'm looking forward to getting them in service for those late night/early morning snow plow sessions. They feel well built. The connectors seem like good quality.

Great - now I need a tractor.

Bought a few LED flood lights in the past and have seen crappy ones. These are not crappy. The housing like others is the heat sink for the LEDs, vs a heat sink plus a housing as a separate piece. They do put out some heat in front of the lens but nothing like halogen bulbs do. The main body heat sink should be sufficient to keep from baking the LEDs and them dying.
The mounting hardware is solid and heavy with a rubber bushing to put between the mount foot and the surface you are attaching to. I am torn on the wires having the quick connectors on them - unless you have more than one vehicle to move these to or the burn out regularly and you want to replace them with the same lights, there is no need in my mind. The nuts for the bolts do have nylon washers built in to make them locking nuts.
These are blindly bright and should not be used on-road - only off-road/trails/farming a field.

Great offroad or work flood style lights!

So I initially thought these lights were a bit pricy until I looked up lights with what i would consider "similar quality and brightness" and i realized these are actually priced pretty dang well!!
These lights are excellent quality and feel SOLID! The mounting location on them is thick and well placed to allow you to get good positioning and aiming. They have a pig tail from them with a socket on them and come with the mating side pig tail for you to connect your own wiring harness to. The sockets are weather pack type and have a rubber seal on them to keep the water OUT! The large fins on the heat sink will help keep these cool so the LEDs last longer because these are BRIGHT and put out some heat (fully expected from high power LEDs).
I originally purchased these lights to make a set of work lights. I wanted to replace a dual halogen work light with these 2 lights. These would be much less fragile then halogen lights, put out less heat, and be MUCH smaller and easier to fit in tight places, like under a car! To power them for my project i purchased a universal sealed 12v power supply to wire them in to!
My Photos Settings INFO;
In the photos of the light beams, in order to make it more standardized I locked my phones camera settings to the following... ISO - 160, Speed 1/60, WB 4400k. These were chosen because this was the settings that "auto" mode was using with my dining room lighting ON to compare the output to a standard room light.
Light power supply INFO;
The lights are being powered by a 12v power supply with a maximum 10amp output, so when connected to a vehicle which averages around 14v you may actually get a bit more brightness out of them depending on how their driver was designed... Its possible they are using a constant current driver though that will keep this output the same at 12v as well as 14v you'd get from the alternator. Unfortunately I couldn't find that information in their listing.
Photo Descriptions;
The first light photo is taken indoors and is BOTH lights on, these lit up the whole room when aimed at the wall just as clearly as my actual room's ceiling light! The following photo should be a round spot light (if Amazon keeps the photos in the order i uploaded them) this photo has the light from my Nebo DaVinci 18000 flashlight in its 10,000 lumen setting.
These lights are claimed to be a "theoretical" 4700 lumens each (due to LED mfg power/lumen rating). However they state that they maintain 3,226 lumens each. I find this HIGHLY believable when comparing it to my 10,000 lumen flashlight! They are quite bright!
The last photo is taken with the same phone settings as previously mentioned only outdoors. The garbage cans in the photo are about 40/45 feet away from the lights.
These would make a fantastic work light or for an offroad light where you want a flood light rather then a spot light! They also would make great lights for a camper or RV to light up around the vehicle!

Solid body, bright flood lights

Solid body, bright flood lights

Really bright lights with a Good solid aluminum body and lens. The pigtail comes out as a soft flexible wire then has adutch connector into a 2 conductor wire to add into your vehicles lighting. The mounting brackets seemed like stainless quality hardware and shouldnt rust. Great value lights here and great look overall. Need to.provide your own wiring harness and switch / relay.

Great value

Its a great product. As advertised and better in my opinion. I installed them on my 2008 JD tractor that I use for moving snow on the ranch. Simple job to wire them in where the old dim bulb worklight were. World of difference with the LED’s. Lights are finished nice and even have high quality hardware. The high end , wet proof electrical plugs are even included in the package. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase

Easy installation

Very bright lights, works perfectly on a small tractor for extra lighting at night. Easy to install, however we did need a bit of extra wiring for our particular setup. Decent value and seems well built so far. Looks nice as well.

Expensive

Value to expense ratio not so good. These are ok lights. Bright and decently made. These are meant to be wired into something like a vehicle as they have very short lead wires. For the price its a no from me since you would have to buy a lot of wire and a tripod then find a way to either hook them to a car or a transformer to mains.

Advertised lumen output

Amazon advertised as 9400 lumen, if you go on the Prime Lux website it states 3400 lumen output. Maybe someone from Amazon can explain the discrepancy.

Lots of light

Put these bad boys on my tractor to help throw some light out there as the normal headlights are blocked by the bucket. These are very robust with a metal housing and thick lenses. I measured them pulling 32 watts a piece, under the 72 watts (36 a piece) it states, and this was at both 12.6 and 14.6 volts. Still plenty bright. Come with Deutsch connectors, both ends so you can unplug and remove them easily if you want? Not sure. The connectors are VERY heavy duty and waterproof, not just your standard Deutsch connectors which are also weather proof.
